Cole Blakeway talked about his friendship with an autistic man named Steven in his TEDx Talk about being different. "We are all a little different, and that's awesome," he said.
"People think that being optimistic is being positive 24/7. In reality, that's not possible. A true optimist is someone who is very keenly aware of setbacks ... but sees them as temporary and something that they have the ability to overcome, even if they don't know how," said Dr. Deepika Chopra, known as the "Optimism Doctor."
At the age of 8, Vivienne Harr began selling lemonade and raised more than $101,000 for Not For Sale, which fights child slavery. She went on to sell her lemonade in stores, with proceeds benefitting anti-slavery causes.
"Service—giving to another another, having their back—is what makes the highest performing teams in the world, not their strength, and not their intelligence," Simon Sinek said. "It's their willingness to be there for each other."
